By accessing and using Village ("the Service"), provided by Village Technologies GmbH (in formation) ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service & Beta Status

2.1 Service Overview

Village provides personalized guidance for international newcomers relocating to Switzerland, including task lists, local intelligence, a secure document vault, and email generation tools.

2.2 Beta Phase Disclaimer

The Service is currently in a "Beta" testing phase. You acknowledge that the Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be free of bugs, errors, or interruptions. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features as we iterate based on feedback.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide a valid email address. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials.

4. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or use the Service for unsolicited communications.

5.3 Sensitive User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of your documents. By uploading sensitive documents (e.g., passports, permits), you explicitly consent to their processing as described in our Privacy Policy. We store these in a secure Swiss-based vault, but we recommend you maintain your own local backups of all critical documents.

6. Service Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or perform maintenance at any time without liability.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, Village Technologies GmbH (in formation) shall not be liable for:

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms. You may delete your account via Settings. Data will be handled per our Privacy Policy.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich, Switzerland.
